Quest...cinematic 3D
It appears that 3D Avatar and Alice in Wonderland are huge hits...for cinematic technologies. Has story telling waned for gadgets and gimmicks? Attempts for three dimensional effects in the cinema has been around since the 1950s and bathed in about four intense years of popularity with periodic revivals for another five decades with sparse success. It just appears that the effect takes center stage and story lines disappears. Can you imagine Ingmar Bergman's The Seventh Seal in 3D?
