I suppose that "luck" is a function of being in the right place at the right time under favorable circumstances: Turning that large river rock over and finding a diamond ring instead of a blue racer or missing the meteor fragment by inches. Maybe "luck" is serendipitous?...an undefinable human experience. And we do treat "luck" as an existing entity...after all, there is "bad luck".
