"Virus and evolution" poll

Is it possible that deadly viruses are part of an evolutionary characteristic to control a species?

Yes...3
No...3

An answer to this may never be known but it is interesting to contemplate: Viruses that kill [the very young, the very old, the very ill] as part of evolution...and the elimination or control of such virus may unbalance nature. It may even promote virus that can swiftly mutate to fend off mankind's attempt of eradication. Kind of humbling.
