Edwin Herbert Land...second revolution in photography
What's that old joke? What is the equivalent term for hemorrhoids for Eskimos...Polaroids. Okay, I'll never write for Leno. Today is the birthday of Edwin Herbert Land who ushered in the second major revolution of photography next to George Eastman's insitu film in camera. Land was a remarkable individual with no formal educational degree who spent a lifetime working with light...from the practical to the theoretical [retinex theory of color vision].
