Bruno...life's end
Bruno
April 1989 to June 2008
What an achievement...about 19.2 voyages around the sun...that's equivalent to about 134.4 human voyages-remarkable! He is the last of my buddies and will join his sister Sylvie, half sisters Chris and Kloie, and half brother Beaker. A wonderful, unselfish feline who never stole the limelight from the others except when it came to indulging in some catnip. After all, there was a pecking order. I miss them all and in the Winter of my life, there will be no more. Goodbye Bruno.
Sorry to hear of your loss. May Bruno enjoy eternal fields of catnip and overflowing ponds of tuna.
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry about Bruno! I lost a pet about 4 years ago, and I still dream about him frequently. There's probably no heaven for people, but there should exist one for cats. And if there is one, Bruno is having fun with Sylvie, Chris, Kloie, and all.
ReplyDeleteI am so honored to have sent Mr. Bruno some treats before life took him away....Princess, Einstein and I mourn the loss of one of life's greatest joys....an animal friend, a companion along the shared path we call life....
ReplyDeleteBruno, may you continue to bring joy to those around you on your next journey.

Like A Dream
By Siri
Elverum, Norway
My garden holds trees with pink leafs
and the smell of young jasmine
small flowers drops and covers my hair
like a welcome
as I walk down the path dressed in grass
and golden branches
children broke them off to play with
it's all one big memory
Laugh and smile like a blessing of crystal
it surrounds me with childish happiness
flute tones danced on a wind of silk
covered my trees to protect against harm
Fall came
Children returned to East with their laughter
the man whom I loved
kissed farewell and went South
Come closer raindrops
get mixed with my tears
for all shall we meet again
My dragons still play in the trees
you just can't see them
vanished from their surroundings
in one final breath of sympathy
We were honored to have known Bruno, a noble and dignified soul, and a curious and steady companion to you and his feline family who passed before him. Here's to Bruno, the last of your feline clan!
ReplyDeleteThank you all...

Oh David - I cannot tell you how sorry I am. I mourn my own cat profoundly even after three years. The good thing, of course, is that the splendid memories stay with you forever.
Hugs to you and love to Bruno, wherever he may be.
Lots and lots of love
Andie

Please accept my sincere condolences. That's very sad. But, as I said in another e-mail, the fact that Bruno lived such a long, happy life is a tribute to you. Felines are truly a wonderful comfort to us. And they teach us so much! I wish I were half as wise as Herbert.
